Day 1

On my 50th birthday I was reminising about some of the fun times I had as a child.
One of those times was my first and only visit to Marco Polo Park, near Bunnell in Florida!
Even today as I drive down I-95 I faithfully point out it's former location.
For some reason the Chinese Dragon stays in my head.
Please feel free to submit ANY pictures, or home video's of your visit to Marco Polo Park!

  1. I worked at the park for 3 summers as a teenager, the 3rd summer I worked for the Glassblower and learned a new trade.I ended up marrying my boss from there , the Retail Manager. He was also the man in the Costume as Marco Polo on the post card.I lived In New Smyrna Beach and traveled back and forth by cab for the job.The boardwalk bought the shotting gallery and it still worked for years.I still can see it everytime I drive by.I especially remember the log flum and the sky lift, first ones I ever rode!!!!

  2. I was looking to see if Marco Polo Park was still in business. I used to go there as a kid and had so much fun. I am disappointed to know it closed and what happened shortly after it closed. Thank you for posting this tribute. <3
